Peter Turner

Ottawa Trombonist Peter Turner performs regularly with various combinations of musicians at public venues and private functions throughout eastern Ontario. He draws from a vast repertoire of jazz and swing favourites and ballads, as well as dixieland and latin numbers.

In addition to doing his own gigs, Peter plays in other groups, most notably with the Derek Robertson Jazz Band – a New Orleans-inspired traditional jazz group.

In 1997, Peter Turner launched a free quarterly newsletter called the Bandwagon to keep followers informed of his public gig schedule. The Bandwagon has since evolved into a trusted guide to jazz events throughout eastern Ontario.
